Art Director - Character Artist - Location Artist - UI - Animator

ROLE

Worked as Art Director and Lead Artist on HELLMALL, a turn-based roguelike RPG combining deck-building mechanics with a surreal digital setting. I helped develop the game's overall visual identity, working with the other artists to establish a style that best suited its unusual world, anthropomorphic characters and suggestive atmosphere.

Worked on the creation and development of visual assets, designing the game's concepts and maintaining a consistent art style throughout production. This involved considering how characters, objects and locational visual elements fitted into the wider game, ensuring the artwork supported the overall creative direction.

As part of a small game development team, I gained experience balancing creative ideas with the practical requirements of production. Working as Art Director and Lead Artist helped me develop my skills in planning, making artistic decisions and maintaining a consistent visual direction while collaborating with other disciplines.

The project gave me valuable experience contributing to a game from both an artistic and development perspective, strengthening my understanding of how visual design, asset creation and gameplay come together. It also helped me develop my ability to adapt ideas to the needs of a project and work through the different challenges involved in producing a game.
